2005 Florida Goodyear Series Champion Ready to Move On Up

Rich Clouser, like most young talented drivers are looking to expand their horizons beyond home town and locals tracks. With his easy going approach and laid back attitude, car owner Bobby Sears is impressed with Rich's dedication. His career stats are impressive (see below) and winning appears to be what Rich does best!

Some drivers are over anxious, wanting to win a race on the first lap. Rich Clouser is just the opposite, full of patience and easy going yet very positive on his goals for a race. When some drivers lose their tempers, Rich just shakes off the bad deals and looks forward to the next race. He is smart enough to know that paybacks never work and never win.

A family man is first and for most on Rich's mind. He has a beautiful daughter that can be observed in the stands literally cheering Daddy on. Family is important to Rich so his goal to achieve a "higher series" is on his mind these days. Rich and his family reside in Palm Bay,FL.

Rich has and always will be heavily involved in the raising of his daughter. His daughter loves to work on cars with her daddy and she can be found attending all of the races with her dad and someday maybe, she too will race!

After a regular work week ( Rich has a 40 hour a week job outside of racing to supplement his income) and all of the family bills are paid, racing takes on the next priority in their lives. Rich would love to combine both but knows it is hard and would never take anything away from his family for racing. Rich is a very responsible young man and a very talented driver. If it has wheels, he can drive it.

Rich has been very successful running in the Late Models but looks forward to bigger and better rides in the future. Rich is open to any new opportunities such as ARCA, USAR Hooter's ProCup, Craftsman Trucks even Busch but until that time comes, his goal is to win in the Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series for a second time and have fun in racing.

CAREER EXPERIENCE:

1992 - Started racing dirt bikes at age 9. Won 5 Championships and hundreds of races.

1997 - At age 13, started racing in the Bomber Division at New Smyrna Speedway

1999 - Entered the Sportsman Division at Orlando SpeedWorld and New Smyrna  Speedway also won his first Super Late Model race at Orlando  SpeedWorld. Won first dirt track race at  Thundercross in a Street Stock.

2000 - Raced at various tracks in Super Stocks, Sportsman, Super Late Model and Street Stocks.

2001 - Raced full time in the Street Stock division at Desoto Super Speedway.

2002 - Raced Super Stock, Sportsman, and Late Model at Orlando SpeedWorld  and New Smyrna Speedway.

2003 - Raced Late Model in the Goodyear Challenge Series for owner Bobby Sears.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

1997 - Rookie of the Year Bomber Class, New Smyrna Speedway

1998 - Points Champion Bomber Division at Orlando SpeedWorld and New  Smyrna Speedway and was the Combined Champion for the year.

Won 68 out of 80 races in 1998.

1999 - Winner in two 50-lap Sportsman Special Events and Fast Qualifier at Orlando SpeedWorld.

2000 - First time winner of 4 races in one night - heat and feature for the Super Stock Class and heat and feature for the Sportsman Class at Orlando
SpeedWorld. No other driver has done this before.

2001 - Won Super Stock feature at Bronson Motor Speedway.

2001 Street Stock Champion at Desoto Super Speedway. Won one 50 lap feature, 8 wins, 25 top 5's and 35 top 10's.

Sportsmanship of the Year at Desoto Super Speedway.

2002 - Won 4 out of 4 Street Stock Races at the Winter Nationals at Orlando SpeedWorld.

Won both Super Stock Features in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.

Has 10 wins out of 12 races at Orlando SpeedWorld and New  Smyrna Speedway in the Super Stock Division.

2003 - Began driving Late Model for car owner Bobby Sears. Lost 2003 Championship by 16 points and was the Rookie of the Year for the Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series.

2004 - World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Late Model Champion.

2005 - Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series Champion

2006 - Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series Champion
